>> Like sand at the lake.. <<
..is what the porcelain stoneware flooring looks like for house entrances and stairwells. Motivated by the location on the water, the design moves between blue-green and sand tones that bring the lake in front of the door into the house.
>> Delicate graphics: <<
The wave motif, which is spectacularly staged in the entrance by a curved, floor-to-ceiling installation, can also be found subtly in the graphic design of the walls.
>> Staged with light: <<
The over-high, two-storey entrance portals are additionally highlighted by linear light installations.
>> Mailbox shelf <<
The mailboxes on the ground floor are arranged like valuable boxes on a wall shelf. The color and motif of the wallpaper opposite are reminiscent of sand waves, formed by wind and water..
Newly built yacht
44 m length, 480 GT
Shipyard: San Lorenzo, La Spezia, Italy
Completion September 2021
>> Wave as a wall motif: <<
In the Upper Deck Dining, not only is the ceiling curved, but also the wall paneling on the back. The slight curve of the walls is intensified by the CNC milled surface and is haptically exciting.
>> Universal floor design: <<
The space carpet in the large Main Deck Salon is a custom-made product by Floor to Heaven, mirrored by the luminous celestial eye on the ceiling. Here the whole orbit can be experienced in one room.
>> Quick-change artist: <<
The white side table made of smooth and milled mineral material works as a unit, but also in three individual segments.
>> Fish skin: <<
In the owners bathroom, we designed the curved ceiling made of polished stainless steel. The cut-out film then applied looks like the scales of a large sea creature.

>> Grandma’s corner bench in the 21st century: <<
A table with rivets and artificial leather, lights such as glass balloons by Tom Dixon and a bench like in an American diner – the corner bench near the kitchen is the favorite place of the residents and the center of family life.
>> A house for the stairs: <<
The free-swinging stair sculpture connects 3 floors. The basic oval shape was an immense challenge for stair builders and designers.
>> Headboard in the change: <<
In the master bedroom, the head of the bed can be adjusted to suit the mood. Three different backgrounds can be set using a motorized rotating mechanism: the mirror world, the palazzo world and the red world ..

An airy orangery completes the living and dining area. Visually, the house seems to merge directly with the garden.
>> Kitchen with a swing: <<
Wall units like sculptures, shaped like a wave, backlit and covered with a thin layer of brass on the underside – this kitchen furniture unites form and function in an exemplary manner.
>> Morocco in Düsseldorf: <<
At the client’s request, we designed the guest toilet in a Moroccan style: dusky pink walls, tiles with black and white patterns and an aquamarine-blue basin from Alape are the basis for an oriental look.

>> Nature and culture: <<
Huge sliding glass doors and an oversized, pebble-shaped mirror bring nature into the bathroom – design and natural surroundings form a harmonious connection.
>> Bathtub with a hat <<
In the master suite of this penthouse, the whirlpool is crowned by a floating textile light sculpture – like petals, the fabric structures are layered on top of each other, connected in the middle by a central lighting element.
>> Aqua Moon <<
A shed wall that becomes a shower, a polished stainless steel shaft with foil printing as a ceiling, a moon shower as a water source – the owner’s bathroom of this 55 meter yacht is inventive and eccentric.
>> A bathroom as an art object: <<
Natural stone, mirrors, colored light and selected art objects form a perfect symbiosis – the glass torso under raindrops made of polished stainless steel guards the bathers.
>> Shower experience with a view: <<
The shower of this bath is also the window to the terrace and offers a wonderful view over the bay of Palma.
>> Woodwork: <<
The wall and ceiling of this guest toilet are made of parquet.
>> Bathroom with bedroom <<
In the Hotel Lyo in Mykonos there is hardly any separation between bedroom and bathroom. Both areas merge seamlessly. A spacious and unusual spatial experience is created especially for the bathroom.
>> Lace behind glass <<
The sliding door behind the glass bathroom wall looks like lace but is made of lasered metal. It creates a delicate transition between bedroom and bathroom. A washstand made of acacia wood and Tom Dixon’s “Fan” chair determine the cozy atmosphere in the bathroom.

>> A kitchen that is a bar, cooking island and living element at the same time. <<
Like a sculpture, the kitchen is enthroned in the middle of the room, a design that seamlessly and playfully combines living and functional areas.
>> Grandmas corner bench reloaded: <<
Every kitchen with a corner bench is a convivial, family-friendly kitchen, even if the corner bench has been implemented as a modern upholstery variant and the kitchen with a 4-meter-long cooking block including a stainless steel cooker hood belongs more to the modern high-tech world.
>> Kitchen as an art object: <<
Fornasetti furniture, macassar veneer and baroque stone inlays are part of this kitchen concept, which is therefore more like a work of art than a cooking area.
>> A kitchen for cosmopolitans <<
Anyone who travels the world a lot appreciates a feeling of “at home” even more. To live up to this feeling, the kitchen is part of the dining and living room. The Italian marble Nero Portoro gives a masculine, powerful touch, which looks like an abstract painting on the back of the kitchen and the counter.
>> Cooking with contrast: <<
The stainless steel and corian kitchen block provides the perfect equipment for preparing every culinary sophistication. The rear panel of the appliance, made of 200-year-old, spatulated oak planks, creates an archaic contrast to the modern plastic kitchen sculpture.
>> A house for the kitchen. <<
A villa in the style of the 1920s, a modern, cubic extension made of Grauwacke only for the kitchen and a wellness house in the garden – this triad of senses was what a Cologne entrepreneur wanted. We designed the kitchen house with special attention to detail: a free-standing wine cabinet.
>> Celestial eye: <<
An oval ceiling cutout in the roof above the kitchen brings studio light into the room and brilliantly highlights culinary delights.

>> Wine is poetry in bottles: <<
In this wine cellar, poetry is also noticeable in the detailed design of the room. The small apse creates an almost sacral atmosphere. This spatial impression is enhanced by colored light from below.
>> Wine Wall <<
An individual bottle refrigerator for wine creates a pleasing visual connection between bar and kitchen. The lighting of the bottles also provides oblique colored light reflections.
>> Tradition and Modernity: <<
A semi-circular vaulted old brick vault is the traditional architectural basis of this private wine cellar. The glass-cut through the entire space brings the leap into the modern and provides a generous view.
>> Wine drinkers look good, are smart, sexy and healthy… <<
Hugh Johnson, british wine books author
This also was the idea of our client, who designed this small, fine wine cellar. Each bottle has its own special place here. Wine crates are not simply stacked, but stored on excerpts that are pulled out when needed.

>> Barcode as a shelf <<
So many awards and distinction that have been given to Denkwerk for their creative work until this day are exposed as a shelf camouflaged in a barcode.
>> Parallel Universe <<
Adjacent to the big theater room, where all the staff can gather together and meet there‘s kicker room – not only because our spacey wall design, other design elements make this room a world of its own.
>> Renaissance in the Denkbar <<
The central restaurant for the staff is decorated with foreign ideals. Michelangelo‘s Bibliotheca Laurentiana decorates the walls as a special wallpaper. It is no coincidence that the geometric forms of Michelangelo‘s architecture: the square, the triangle, the line, and the circle segment are repeated again in the firm‘s branding.
