Hillside Terraces

The extreme hillside location of the house motivated us to design the outdoor facilities in the form of terraces. Structured plaster and natural stone are the main materials of the wall panels, some of which are accentuated by circular wall lights and uplights.

Staircase Theatre:

A central, straight staircase made of steel, glass and natural stone in front of a wall made of rough quartzite forms the back of the house and is at the same time a theater – a stage for the living room in front of it.

Throne Room

With a room height of 500 cm and a comparatively minimal room size of 1.7 m², the guest toilet is of very unusual proportionality. We use this feature to put a particularly large and high hat made of plasterboard, wallpaper and mirror on the little room.

Light Dome

The whirlpool tub in the master bathroom is crowned by a glass skylight, which is filled with water and illuminated from above. The reflection of the water movements and the light results in a beautiful play of light and shadows on the walls next to the tub.

Water drop faucet

A mirror made of cast stainless steel, a faucet like a drop of water, a washbasin made of black glass – an arrangement like a modern still life and yet easy to use.

Sauna with a view

Glazed all around and with floating benches, this sauna becomes a transparent sculpture in the room.

Green Island

The generous, curved sofas by Walter Knoll form sculptural green islands in the flowing floor plan of the foyer and invite guests to linger.

Theatre – Foyer:

Like balconies in a theatre, the individual floors swing around the eye of the foyer. Shining, copper-colored bands, separated by lines of light, form the balcony parapets of the floors. They are the main component of the design and staging of the almost 20 m high room.

A house for the stairs, not a stairwell…

Orangery with Bar Ambiance

The brazen structure of the door and the glamorous cabinet are a modern interpretation of a traditional room.

Structure and texture – black and white – light and shadow: a room of contrasting beauty.

Neon chandelier …

The entrance hall features a seventeen metre long neon ‚chandelier‘ suspended from a metallic-coated ceiling.

„Onice Miele“, translatet : honey onyx, a translucent stone from Italy, covers in big pieces walls and floor.

Ironic lighting

The iconic Baxter coiled lamp in the libary stands out contrastivly against the the scenery of Santos Palisander.

Fire Place:

To give a special quality to sitting by the fire, we designed a place with a flaming center and a curved bench. Here you can sit around the campfire and invent stories like in the old days.

Rocking Idyll:

The residents of the house enjoy the fantastic view of the island’s landscape in a padded swing by Paola Lenti.

On the Rocks…

The terrace in front of the living room on the ground floor is characterized by large boulders that create almost random, natural places to linger.

Country kitchen deluxe

Wooden ceilings and wall paneling made of French walnut wrap the kitchen in a warm, lush dress. The glaring sun from outside is softened a little by the dark tint of the walnut tree.

Sea Creatures as Light Objects

In the central living room of the finca, 3 huge textile illuminated objects by Flos populate the air space above the sofa. Like medusae they float in space like sea creatures in the ocean.

Green Oasis:

A 7 meter high green wall forms the back of the central living space. Luminaires like threads complement the green curtain like drops of water in front of a rock face.

Game of Waves..

The rear wall paneling in the Main Salon consists of individual, wavy stripes that together form a large curved sculpture.

Ocean Structures

The wall paneling behind the bed in the Master Cabin resembles a fan-shaped, huge coral. Lacquered, milled panels, superimposed in three layers and each slightly offset, create this impression.

Quick-change Artist

The white side table made of smooth and milled mineral material works as a unit, but also in three individual segments.
